Social Networking Marketing?
So I’ve been reading up on a new type of marketing, whereas one utilizes social networking outlets to blast anything out there to the masses. We’ve all heard of Twitter, Facebook, Myspace and so on. But did you know that they are a huge untapped market, ready to be “cough” tapped.
After reading up on doing this type of marketing, the first thing that popped into my head was, this is going to take a really long time to do. Why would I want to input the same thing over and over again on all these web sites. There is a really good reason for doing it, either by hand or automated. Yes I said automated, it can be done and it isn’t “blackhat” either. Check out the bottom of this post, you see the button that says “Bookmark & Share”? Mouse over that button and see what it does. I know, you’re saying “But Mike, this is for us to bookmark you, not the other way around.”.
YOU’RE WRONG! Ok, now that I’ve got that out. That is incorrect, in order to get that button through OnlyWire’s web site you must sign-up for an account and in doing so, you gain access to their really cool online tool that allows you to post your stories, bookmarks and anything else you want to plaster across your social networking accounts for all to see. Granted this isn’t 100% automated, it still has some glitches and you still must go to most of the sites and input a small amount of information, namely captchas. But come on people, this cuts your posting time on all of these sites from a few hours down to around 15 minutes once you get used to it. There is also a Firefox plugin that allows you to do the same postings, but within your browser, btw I use Flock and it works with it as well.
